Charles VI (ruled 1711-1740)
Son of Leopold I, the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. He led two great wars against Turkey, the first one accomplished by treaty of Požarevac in 1718 , which brought him large territorial gains, and another one completed by the treaty of Belgrade in 1739 which was unsuccessful because Turkey regained a large part of its former territories.
