Kleene's Theorem for Formal Tree-Series

In this talk I will explain a Kleene-type theorem for formal tree-series over commutative semirings. That is, for suitable set of rational operations I will show that the proper rational formal tree-series coincide with the recognizable ones. In the proof we make use of the theory of weighted tree-languages. This and other results can be found in [1, 2, 3].

Prirodna dualizabilnost konacnih algebri
(Natural dualizability of finite algebras)


We define the general framework for duality, one that encompasses the Stone, Priestley and finite case of Pontryagin dualities. We also survey the recent partial results on characterizing the finite dualizable algebras. This lecture is an updated version of the lecture by the same speaker in Spring 2004, one that includes a survey of three major new results proved in the meantime.

Rezime: Verovatnosni modeli ovih logika imaju mere ciji je skup vrednostin-torka racionalnih brojeva. Dokazuje se potpunost aksiomatizacije za ove logike.
