MODELLING ELECTRONIC TRUST USING BAYESIAN NETWORKS
The concept of trust in the context of digital economy plays a central role. It represents the most valuable asset an organization has, more important than the technology itself. The online setting, being characterized as uncertain and risky, and with many trust issues related to safe and secure data, resilient IT infrastructure, various types of opportunistic behavior, etc. - emphasizes the importance of trust even more. Literature shows that various models for trust assessment has been investigated and employed. This lecture shows how Bayesian networks, as an effective tool to facilitate modelling of complex decision problems in digital economy under uncertainty, can be used for modelling electronic trust using an illustrative example typical in online transactions nowadays.

DECISION SUPPORT MODEL FOR INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL LEVEL ADAPTATION PLANNING TO CLIMATE
In synergy with other socio-economic risks, the effects of climate change pose contemporary structural challenges that can not be considered only as an environmental issue. They affect the general development and therefore make the adaptive capacity of biophysical and socioeconomic systems uncertain in the following decades. This lecture aims to provide an overview of the developed decision support model for the selection of local level climate change adaptation measures. Considering the nature of management issues in climate policies, which involves decision-making under the conditions of uncertainty and often the limited availability of data, the model employs adaptive management principles. It relies on the simultaneous application of Bayesian networks, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and GIS. The proposed model is aoolied to the case of forestry sector with a focus on vulnerability to forest fires in Svrljig district. However, it can be adopted in other sectors for the integrated management of adaptation to climate change.
