GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) AS A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM
Abstract: Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed for creating, analyzing, presenting, and manipulation of geographic data. As technology based on combining the functions of databases - spatial statistics, optimization, simulation, multi-criteria analysis etc., GIS is often used as a decision support system.
The lecture will discuss the application of GIS for spatial analysis in the field of forest management, health management, tourism and resources management.

METHODS OF АNALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS
Method of Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) is widely used method in the decision-making process, created with aim to assist decision-makers in solving complex decision problems in fields of strategic planning, business policy, research and development, knowledge management, human resource management, resource allocation, quality evaluation (e.g. of products, education, e-learning, etc.). Decision-makers often face extremely complex issues due to the presence of competitive and conflicting goals among the available criteria or alternatives. The lecture will discuss the mathematical basis of AHP and Fuzzy AHP, and their advantages and disadvantages in the application in specific decision-making contexts.


Predavanja su namenjena sirokom krugu slusalaca, ukljucujuci studente redovnih i doktorskih studija. Seminar će se održavati svakog drugog četvrtka od 13:00 - 14:00h, CIITLAB, Elektronski fakultet Niš, Aleksandra Medvedeva 14, Niš
