THE STEENROD ALGEBRA mod p, p>2, NEW ADDITIVE BASES
In this talk we shall discuss some classical results on the additive bases in the Steenrod algebra mod 2,and their generalization to the Steenrod algebra mod p, p>2.
To be more precise, the Steenrod algebra of stable cohomology operations mod 2 is generated by the Steenrod squares and the Adem relations, while for p>2 it is generated by the Pontryagin powers, the Bockstein element and the Adem relations. Considering an associative algebra given in terms of generators and relations one has a problem to recognize whether two elements are equal or not. Hence it is quite useful to have suitable additive bases for such an algebra,discuss certain additive monomial bases for the Steenrod algebras which appear to be useful for p=2 (among them bases of Milnor elements, admissible elements, Wall elements, Arnon X,Z,C bases should be mentioned) and our recent results for p>2.

Ovo je pregledno predavanje u kome će biti prikazani noviji rezultati i otvoreni problemi vezani za teoreme o kombinatorici konveksnih skupova (Tverberg-van Kampen-Flores), teoreme o fer raspodelama (rental harmony), teoremema Knastera-Kuratovskog-Mazurkieviča (KKM), itd.

Predavanja imaju pregledni karakter i namenjena su najširem krugu slušalaca
