THREE BACKGROUND ELEMENTS FOR SECURITY EVALUATION AND DESIGN OF CERTAIN CRYPTOGRAPHIC ALGORITHMS

Abstract. The talk points out to three mathematical problems relevant for security evaluation of a number of cryptographic primitives and particularly stream ciphers and probabilistic authentication protocols. The considered mathematical problems are: (i) Time-Memory Trade-Off based inversion; (ii) The LPN problem; and (iii) the Wire-tap channel coding.

Utorak, 30.6.2009., 13 časova Sala 305, MI SANU

JOINT EMPLOYMENT OF PSEUDORANDOMNES, RANDOMNESS AND CODING FOR DESIGN OF CERTAIN ENCRYPTION ALGORITHMS

Abstract. This talk points out to an approach for cryptographic computing employing secret and random data. According to the algebraic interpretation of the considered approach it is shown that the security appears as a consequence of the LPN problem hardness and hardness of decoding without knowledge about secret data.
