(7) Division using similar shapes

(i) Non-concrete shapes

Although it is easy to create similar shapes in an open space, it is not easy to divide a space with a limited form using similar shapes.

However, when we pay attention to the so called geometric progression, the planing for the divisions will be easier with its advantage on the diagram processing. Then, we can use a geometric progression that when the side of the shape is half, the area will be half. The procedure is simple since we just need to repeat to make the length half of the sides.
