Illusions of four dimensions

We are creatures living and moving with the progress of time, and are living with interests in other moving things. But, a screen is two-dimensional standing still. Thus, movement and time cannot be directly described. Therefore, painters and designers have been trying hard to express two- dimensional "movement effects" on a screen for a long time. This "moving effect" has been called movement or moveman in the field of arts. Therefore, this problem of expressing movement in two-dimensional space in Section 1 will be described first.

Rhythm will be discussed in Section 2. Rhythm is a method of important expression which gives a form a feeling of life. Rhythm has close relations with movement. Various experiments trying to create rhythm and movement in very limited structures of square lattices using "assemblies of gradually changing shapes" will be introduced in the latter half.

The above is an outline of the contents of Illusions of four dimensions.
