Chapter 5

Development of Techniques

1 Development of conceptions

The attitude of trying to develop a new configuration by changing the concepts of art and design is very important.

If the concepts are changed, the way of doing modeling will naturally be modified. Therefore, the configuration has recently changed.

Based on these concepts, assignments which require various efforts in the stage of thinking were given to students of relatively high grades. A few examples will be shown here.

550-a
550-b
Conditions

(1) Equally divide a square of
      20x20cm into 25 equal blocks.
(2) Arrange square pillars of
      5mm in each small divided
       block by gradually changing
       their relative position (550-a)
(3) The direction of the sun which
       shines on the pillars changes
every time you move to another
        divided block.
(4) The shadows of the pillars are
limited by walls of the blocks
       with infinitely small thickness.
