2 Search for modeling possibility of materials
In the first section of the second chapter, "Materials
and tools", problems were surveyed about materials and tools used for
plane KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design). In this section, they will
be further discussed, and the skills and the modeling effects which lead
from them will be described in detail. It is needless to repeat the importance
of the skills in the modeling works. However, in this case, we utilize
materials and tools differently from the ways that they are used in daily
life. The experimental attitudes which ascertain the modeling effects are
very important in making the ideas more flexible and to understand the
nature of the materials and the tools well. This are necessary for the
development of skills, and is also important in order to understand the
characteristics of tools and to make our ideas more flexible.
