3-- Stream lines · freely curved lines

When we hold both ends of a steel wire in our hands and bend it, a really smooth and elegant curved line will be formed. The curved line is bending naturally on every point on the steel wire, and it continues to the other end rapidly.

We feel a physiologically natural pleasure in these kinds of the shapes with such naturally curved lines. This pressure is somewhat similar to our feeling when we find and touch a naturally shaped smooth stone on a beach. These shapes are frequently found in the works of Art Nouveau in the past and in current product designs.

(1) Freehand-drawn curved lines

How can we draw shapes surrounded by the naturally curved lines with a projection or a dimple? This can be done by rapidly drawing any lines at a great speed within a breath holding a suitable writing tool. Lines drawn by freehand are unexpectedly beautiful. Although corrections are needed on a part you do not like, you should be careful not to draw deadlines.
