A figure can also be made by a precision machine. One of those machines an XY plotter which is a kind of engineering drawing tool. Another is a plotter combined with a computer or a monitor which works automatically. However, it is our duty to prepare the plan, or "direction", that commands the machine to work as we expect. Certain preparation and skills are necessary for that. In these precision machines, a camera has its particular position. A camera not only catches and shows us the correct shape of things, but changes the shape in three-dimensional space into the one in two-dimensional space, changes sizes and colors, and makes a convenient shape. So it is a very useful tool for structures in two-dimensional space. An object is not only a concrete thing which can be seen and touched. By using a camera, it is possible to make various structures of points and lines from only one light source. In the case of using papers, there is not only the simple writing using colors. There are also scratching on materials or applying other things. So those also need materials and tools, those which are given here are only popular examples which are very near and available to us. As for others, in the case of using color materials, a plate or a palate and a brush cleaner are necessary. A thumbtack and a paperweight are also used. Chopsticks, strings, cloths, mirrors... the tools are limitless and it is impossible to have all of them, because all things around us are useful. And I emphasize that to have this way of thinking, in short with an attitude of mind, that anything can be useful, is very important for the development of originality.
