All "objective" painting systems (before the Renaissance "subjective" perspective) used the contour as a tool to describe every object in its most characteristic form. Therefore, in the ancient Egyptian painting we have a profile of a figure and front view of eyes, developed projection of the pool with tries, etc. In modern times, the same approach known as the "normal axionometry" we will find in technical drawings or descriptive geometry (from B.V. Raushenbah: Prostranstvennye postroeniya v z'ivopisi, Nauka, Moskva, 1980).
