NEARING CONVERGENCE ( I ) is 72" high, 140" wide and protrudes 12 into space. This piece was created in 1994 and consists of three planar surfaces: a canvas and two layers of fiberglass screen. The image stays parallax on all surfaces only the distance between the screens changes.

The design on these surfaces are equally spaced parabolas. The upper group of parabolas glide along the horizontal center line and then reverse their direction while curving to the opposite margin. The viewer gets drawn into the center and a dizzy feeling might occur.
