"Circle Composition I" is a digital artwork completed in 2001 and printed on photographic paper.  It is a graphically-constructed fractal inspired by a packing of circles within circles that has its roots in the Descartes Circle Theorem.  This theorem relates the radii of curvature of any four mutually tangential circles.
