On 16th of August 2012, the Board of Management of the Mathematical
Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts has decided to
establish MI SANU award for
outstanding contribution to the development of the Institute and mathematics
in Serbia. Following that decision, Teodor Von Burg is awarded by Mathematical Institute
SANU for outstanding results in the International
Mathematial Olimpic Games: 4 golden medal, 1 silver medal and bronze medal,
which makes him the most successful competitor in the world, known so far.
