(iv) The formation of radiate structure

The radiate structure is formed by an extensive arrangement of units from the center of a picture to the periphery.

It is a KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design) with a "focusing" or "spreading" feeling that I mentioned in the section "Various arrangements".

However, the difficulty in creating interspace(s) is a major weakness.

(v) The formation of mirror-reflecting structure(s)

The symmetry of mirror reflection structures requires a strictly systematic form in the unit method of modeling.

A1 and A2 units are not convenient for these structures as they are, for both of them are not symmetrical. The reason why in all the examples on pages 105 and 106 the arrow-shape of A1+A2 is used as the unit, is that it is hard to create the KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design) of a mirror-reflecting structure out of asymmetrical units.

In Figure 174 the interspace by the fusion of the units exhibits the same arrow-shape as the unit.
