(v) The low perspective on up and down

The perspective was described by drawing things far in the upper part of the drawing and by drawing closer sights in the lower part in the oriental Sansui painting and on the wall paintings in ancient Egypt. It is assumed that there is such a tendency inside the human consciousness and a sense for all times and places. In Figure 341 at the bottom, they don't seem to be the same size even if they are piled up or separated, but actually each of them are the same size. It seems that the upper shape is smaller.

(vi) Others

There are still various illusions on the size recognition of shapes in addition to the above (Figs. 342-345)

Figure 342: Line A looks longer, and the area of B looks larger.
Figure 343: The diameter of the part other than the moon looks shorter.
Figure 344: Although B is placed at the center, the divided line which contains an apex looks shorter.
Figure 345: The circle seems to fit inside ABCD, but it is too large.
