Gradual configuration change without using a lattice (Figs. 521-525).

In the regularly divided KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design) shown in (i)-(v), rhythm has been pursued from various angles. What will happen if the limiting structure "lattice" is removed? There are infinite numbers of rhythms in this case. This is because only gradually changing shapes are required.
