(2) Use of considering designs and conditions

It is pretty difficult to immediately draw a modeling plan with a complicated structure and original ideas in one's mind. In many cases, these are improved and modified based on one's past experiences. Otherwise, we may be polishing a plan with a hint from something else which has nothing to do with the plan.

The former helps to further develop unique procedures belonging to each artist. However, it is not easy to explore a completely new method that way. Rather, the latter has a possibility of developing an unexpected new method. Let's make a pattern of a plane KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design) based on another structure which looks different at just a glance based on the concept.

It is stated here about the example utilizing a calendar and the timetable of the national railroad as an example. The peculiar structures of a calendar and a timetable will be used for the configuration KOHSEI (Basic Art & Design).

(i) Calendar

Let's first try to talk about a painting utilizing the methods of graphic design as a hint for the modeling.

The work of Figure 582 utilizes necessary conditions of the calendar production processes to create a work of fine art but not for design. When this picture is closely observed, the vertical line on the left end is divided into 31 parts, and a · symbol is marked every 10 days. It indicates that it corresponds to a month (31 days). Next, when we try to examine the little circle point (·) placed in the extreme upper step, the number of · increases every time the blocks are changed, and it reaches 12 under shapes of the sun which shines in the central sky. Furthermore, these procedures are repeated in the same way in the right half.
