(1) Negative points

Is it possible to draw a point without creating more points?

- In principle, by surrounding certain shapes let the empty area remain in the shape of a point. To illustrate this principle, there are many method considered.

  • Cut a part of a line, move it only a little (the size of a point) and make a space (Fig. 22, 23).
  • Surrounded by the shapes of planes (the two-dimensional filled shape), the empty part remains as the shape of a point.
  • Create a hole on a plane (Fig. 24).

The expressions using these methods present a weak sense of existence, but are able to show a delicate sense.
