Academician Vladan Đorđević was the chairman of Mechanics Colloquium of the Institute (2000-2006), a member of the Scientific Council (1993 - 1997, 2001 - 2022), and the editor-in-chief of the editorial board for non-periodical issues (2018-2022).
On September 10, 2021, the Managing Board decided to honour Academician Vladan Đorđević with the MISANU Award in recognition of his great contribution to the development of the Mathematical Institute SANU and mathematics in Serbia.
