Welcome from the Chairs

The PhD School in Mathematics in Serbia (SMS) is a joint graduate school of the mathematics departments of four Serbian Universities, Niš, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Novi Pazar, and Mathematical Institute of the of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Its primary objective is to provide doctoral training at the highest level in an international environment. We offer:

The joint program allows student-supervisor relationship among all involved institutions.
Large pool of professors and subjects.
Visiting professors from abroad.
Networking and mobility of students.
Internationality - study program in English, the inclusion within already existing networks of good mathematical centres.
Improved procedures - higher level of scientific results, quality criteria, holistic approach to evaluation of the thesis results.
Improved cooperation between professors.
A student enroll at a particular institution by her/his choice.

Study program is 180 ECTS, 3 years in one of the two modules: Analysis and Algebra and mathematical logic.
