This year we mark the 30th Anniversary of the Seminar Mathematical Methods of Mechanics of the Mathematical Institute SANU. On this occasion we organize the one-day Symposium Mathematical Methods of Mechanics 1993-2023 on May 31, 2023, at MISANU, room 301F, starting from 9:15 AM. We cordially invite you to take part in-person in the Symposium. There will be also a possibility to follow the Symposium online through the link.

The prize committees have chosen the laureates - PhD students: Miloš Đorić, Stefan Ivković, Miloš Simić and Đorđe Stakić, M.Sc. students: Andrea Grbić Danijel Aleksić, Iva Veljković and Luka Milošević, and B.Sc. students Dimitrije Glukčević and Marko Milenković.
The laureates will be formally honored on May 15, 2023 in the Institute.

September 15-20, 2023

MISANU, University of Montenegro and their partners organize Summer School for the Future (STE)M Leaders (September 15-20, 2023) in Montenegro. We invite all students interested in STEM and popularization of science to apply until April 30, 2023 by filling out the application form.
The project is supported by the Western Balkan Fund.

March 1, 2023

This special course will provide an introduction to analytical mechanics and geometry. It is inspired by Vladimir Arnold’s famous book of the similar name. The Course is intended for a wider audience, including undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics, astronomy, physics, and mechanics. The Course will be held on Wednesdays at 15:00 (Central European Time), starting March 1, 2023 during the Spring Semester. The venue is room 301f of the Mathematics Institute SANU.

September 24–29, 2023

Dr Đorđe Baralić, research associate professor at the MISANU, will participate at the 10th Heidelberg Laureate Forum from September 23-30, 2023, where the recipients of the most prestigious awards in mathematics and computer science, the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize, meet 200 selected young researchers from all over the world.
