This special course will provide an introduction to analytical mechanics and geometry. It is inspired by Vladimir Arnold’s famous book of the similar name. The Course is intended for a wider audience, including undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics, astronomy, physics, and mechanics. The Course will be held on Wednesdays at 15:00 (Central European Time), starting March 1, 2023 during the Spring Semester. The venue is room 301f of the Mathematics Institute SANU.
Dr Đorđe Baralić, research associate professor at the MISANU, will participate at the 10th Heidelberg Laureate Forum from September 23-30, 2023, where the recipients of the most prestigious awards in mathematics and computer science, the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize, meet 200 selected young researchers from all over the world.
