POVEZIVANJE HETEROGENIH PREKRIVAJUCIH MREZA

Na predavanju ce biti predstavljeni definicija i formalni dokaz nekih svojstava heterogenih prekrivajucih (overlay) mreza. Bice prikazani opisi protokola Kord (Chord) i Sinapsa (Synapse) pomocu formalizma masina apstraktnih stanja, kao i dokaz korektnosti formalizacije protokola Kord. Dacemo i verovatnosnu ocenu uspesnosti pretrage prilikom koriscenja protokola Sinapsa.

THE MAGIC WAND THEOREM OF ESKIN-MIRZAKHANI-MOHAMMADI AND DIFFUSION IN PERIODIC BILLIARDS

I plan to start with a billiard in a plane endowed with periodic polygonal obstacles (Ehrenfest windtree model) to motivate a study of straight line foliations on "flat surfaces" - analogs of irrational winding lines on a flat torus.

I will show how this model problem leads to dynamics in the space of all flat surfaces (which can be interpreted as the moduli space of Abelian differentials). The main goal is to advertise a recent breakthrough theorem of Eskin-Mirzakhani-Mohammadi in this area, which allows, in particular, to obtain unexpected results for the diffusion rate of the original periodic billiard.





Odeljenje za matematiku je opsti matematicki seminar namenjen sirokoj publici. Predavanja su prilagodjena matematicarima i onima koji zele da to postanu.
