ENTROPIJA I MALI REMZIJEVI STEPENI
Entropija se obično interpretira kao statistička mera složenosti ili neuređenosti sistema. U ovom izlaganju ćemo pokazati kako koncept malih Remzijevih stepena shvaćen iz perspektive teorije kategorija vodi do nove familije funkcija entropije (remzijevske entropije) koje daju informaciju o nivou kombinatorne složenosti neke kombinatorne konfiguracije. Pravolinijskom dualizacijom celog procesa dobijamo familiju dualnih remzijevskih entropija. Izlaganje ćemo završiti diskusijom o odnosu dualnih remzijevskih entropija i problema Kekris-Sokić-Todorčević o homogenom dualnom Remzijevom svojstvu.

UNIVERSAL ENTROPY ESTIMATORS
The performance studies of the celebrated Lempel–Ziv coding algorithm have led to some deep insights into the specific entropy and relative entropy of stationary measures on shift spaces. Notable among those is the characterization of the specific entropy of a stochastic source in terms of the exponential asymptotics of recurrence times of a typical signal, and the related characterization of the specific cross entropy in terms of waiting times. These and other related entropic estimators have found diverse practical applications beyond information theory. In this talk I will describe a research program dealing with refinements of the mathematical theory of entropic estimators that originated in information theory, and to their theoretical and practical applications.

OMEGA-ALGEBRAS AND THEIR DEVELOPMENT
In our research Omega-algebras arise as a special kind of lattice-valued algebras originating from Omega-sets as introduced by Fourman and Scott, where the co-domain of the function is a complete lattice Omega. Basically, Omega-algebras are lattice-valued algebraic structures, defined over ordinary algebras of the given type in which the classical equality is replaced by the Omega-valued one. Classical identities are satisfied on an Omega-algebra as lattice formulas in the framework of Omega-valued equality instead of the ordinary one. An identity may be satisfied by an Omega-algebra, while the underlying classical algebra need not satisfy this identity. In addition, particular so called cut structures over the Omega-equality are classical algebras, fulfilling the given identities in the classical sense.
This talk is intended to present a short overview on Omega-algebras and their development thus far, along with some results characterizing Omega-algebras. Also we will look into the recent ongoing work on the separability property related to Omega-equality and on a version of Birkhoff HSP theorem for Omega-algebras.
