A FAST NON-IMPLICIT SDOF MODEL FOR SPUR GEAR DYNAMICS WITH EMPHASIS ON THE CONTACT MESH STIFFNESS SIMULATION
The lecture pinpoints the major differences and simplifications used to simulate the typically nonlinear dynamics of spur gear pairs. Contrary to extensive TCA (tooth contact analysis) the presented method requires significantly less computational resources while maintaining high accuracy levels compared with both TCA and experimental results from the literature. The main highlights include capturing the transition from single tooth to double tooth contact and vice versa through the use of a novel s-curve, contact loss, corner contact effects as well as load dependency of the gear pair stiffness.
The lecturer is awarded by Serbian Society for Mechanics with “Rastko Stojanović” award - award for best young researcher's paper in 2019.

CONTACT MECHANICS AT FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS – The final summer internship session
This session of the Seminar "Mechanics of Machines and Mechanisms – Models and Mathematical Methods" will be dedicated to the final part of the summer internship for PhD students on "Contact mechanics at Finite Element Analysis – theory and applications". The students will presented review papers based on the contemporary research results in this field.

REVERSE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING: APPLICATIONS IN ENGINEERING AND NON-ENGINEERING АRЕА
The accelerated development of AM (Additive Manufacturing) technologies as well as the availability of low-price optical scanners have enabled new approaches for the making functional prototypes (Rapid Prototyping), spare parts and low serial production. A common and widespread misconception is to make a machine part by 3D printing immediately after optical scanning, skipping the modeling and remodeling step. Of course, it is possible to make machine parts based on an optically scanned element, but this application introduces geometric errors of the sample caused by exploitation into re-design. That way, the bad parts are just copied into a series of new bad parts. This lecture aims to point out the necessity of applying methods and engineering tools called by the general name RE (Reverse Engineering). The application of RE will be presented in engineering and non-engineering fields, indicating the place and role of coordinate metrology in modern industrial production. RE turbine blades, military helmet, biological forms as well as applications in orthodontics will be considered.
