CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION FOR A PERFORMANCE EDUCATION
The first part of the lecture entitled "Creativity and Innovation for a Performance Education" presents the activity, the academic methods, respectively the results of the application of innovative concepts regarding air filters intended for motor vehicles. It is followed the process of implementing innovative solutions through technological transfer from idea to product using the intellectual property. Given the current global context to obtain a high level of education, it is analysed in the second part of the lecture the influence of non-formal education on the academic training of students with the benefits brought by this process. The emphasis is also placed on the importance of the networking phenomenon for the cultivation and education of students in an innovative creative environment such as INVENTCOR International Exhibition.

MICROMACHINING AND OTHER PROCESSES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND FABRICATION OF MICROFLUIDIC PLATFORMS
In recent years, the great potential of microfluidic platforms has been recognized because they can have important applications in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, biology and personal medicine. The development and fabrication of reliable microfluidic platforms require mastering different types of processes. Microfluidic platforms typically consist of microreservoirs and/or microchannels that are fabricated using micromachining and other processes. Microchannels can be of different three-dimensional shapes, with or without obstacles, and defined in different materials depending on the applied fabrication process. Most applications require ability to observe and record the flow of different fluids with or without microparticles in microchannels, which restricts that the used materials for platforms must be transparent. This lecture will present the possibilities and limitations of the micromachining process of silicon and glass for the formation of microchannels, as well as the process of fabrication microfluidic platforms using transparent polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and 3D printing or glass. The functioning of fabricated microfluidic platforms in the form of bifurcated microchannels, micromixers and microreactors will be presented. Also, other possible applications such as microparticle separators and more complex systems will be considered.

Seminar Mehanika mašina i mehanizama - modeli i matematičke metode započeo je sa radom u junu 2018.god. Seminar se održava do dva puta mesečno, utorkom u periodu od 17.00 - 19.00 u Matematičkom institutu SANU.
