Project goals: To establish cooperation between researchers from Serbia and Slovenia in the field of algebraic graph theory, to enhance our understanding and to obtain new relevant scientific results. A substantial part of the proposed research project will focus on the interdisciplinary application of graphs in the fields of chemistry, network design and optimization, and bioinformatics - multidisciplinary field that applies principles from mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science to analyse complex biological data, with the aim of solving biological problems at molecular level. Project team includes four PhD students from both countries, whose development as researchers will be supervised by the older team members.
