DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS IN HEALTHCARE - EARLY DETECTION OF DEMENTIA
According to the latest report from Alzheimer's Disease International, nearly 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia. The World Health Organization estimates the number will triple by 2050, along with encouragement that timely diagnosis, early therapy treatments, and lifestyle changes can significantly postpone the further progression of the disease. In this talk will be presented research on decision support systems in healthcare that can aid early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form of dementia. The research is based on Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision techniques and conducted on publicly available datasets during the Summer Internship Program 2023 at the Mathematical Institute of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

ENHANCING ELECTRIC VEHICLE ROUTING: A PERSONALIZED APPROACH THROUGH HYBRID AHP-DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING MODEL
This study introduces a novel approach to electric vehicle (EV) route optimization, considering user preferences such as travel time and charging station availability. The hybrid model, combining analytical hierarchical processes (AHP) and dynamic programming (DP), offers a flexible and customizable solution adaptable to diverse user needs. The algorithm is both adaptive and extendable, contributing to the advancement of sustainable transportation practices. The results obtained from two different studies are compared.

GENERAL VARIABLE NEIGHBORHOOD SEARCH FOR PARALLEL DRONE SCHEDULING TRAVELING SALESMAN PROBLEM
Parallel drone scheduling traveling salesman problem (PDSTSP) is a typical optimization problem of the truck-drone hybrid delivery system and hardly solved by using meta-heuristics. In this study, General variable neighborhood search (GVNS) is presented to minimize the completion time of all vehicles for serving all delivery tasks. A number of experiments are conducted on 90 instances. The results reveal that GVNS is very competitive for PDSTSP and obtains state-of-the-art solutions of 8 instances.

DIFFERENTIAL OPERATOR OF FRACTIONAL ORDER - AN ELEMENT OF MATHEMATICAL PHENOMENOLOGY IN THE ANALOGY OF MODELS, FRACTIONAL TYPE, TORSIONAL OSCILLATIONS OF SHAFTS AND TREES
The differential operator of fractional order is used to model two mathematically analogous oscillatory models of fractional type, one mechanical and the other biodynamical. Using the differential operator of fractional order, the constitutive relation of the material of the shaft and the analogous constitutive relation of the tree trunk are compiled. A system of three fractional-order ordinary differential equations of torsional eigen and forced oscillation modes of shafts with three disks was written. It was shown that the same system of those three fractional-order ordinary differential equations describes the torsional oscillations of a tree with three with two-branches modeled by discrete fractal sets. Approximate analytical expressions of natural and forced torsional oscillatory modes, of the fractional type, were determined using Laplace transformation, power series and convolution integrals. Graphic representations of natural and forced modes of the fractional type are given, in the form of surfaces and for the exponent of the fractional order of differentiation in the interval from zero to one. Part of the results was published in the paper: K. R. (Stevanovic) Hedrih, Andjelka N. Hedrih: The Kelvin–Voigt visco-elastic model involving a fractional-order time derivative for modelling torsional oscillations of a complex discrete biodynamical system, Acta Mechanica, (2022), Doi: 10.1007/s00707-022-03461-7, while part of the results is presented to the public by the lecturer for the first time. All results were achieved in co-authorship with dr. Andjelka Hedrih, who is the "spiritus movens" of ideas about biosystem dynamics.
