The scientific seminar, founded in 2017, addresses contemporary research in the field of decision-making theory, with an emphasis on connecting theoretical-methodological framework and practical applications in different domains. The aim of the seminar is to bring together researchers, professors, doctoral and master's students, as well as experts from the industrial sector who deal with the development and application of decision-making models in complex systems.
In addition to fundamental theoretical approaches, such as classical and multi-criteria decision analysis, game theory, risk and uncertainty analysis, the seminar also encourages the application of modern technologies and methods. Special emphasis is on machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to support decision-making, the use of GIS technologies for spatial analysis and spatially oriented decisions, the integration of computer models, optimization and simulations, as well as innovative hybrid approaches that combine analytical and data-driven methods.
Special attention is paid to the application of theoretical models to solving real problems in the fields of engineering, telecommunications, energy, transport, economy, resource management, public policies and digital transformation processes. The seminar is also open for presentations of new methods, algorithms and tools that contribute to the improvement of the decision-making process in conditions of uncertainty.
The seminar is held on Thursdays from 1 pm in the premises of the Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Niš (Pariske Komune street).
