APPLICATION OF AI IN ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN DESIGN
This presentation will cover the development of architectural and urban design practice, from manual drafting and early CAD tools to BIM technology and today's AI-driven solutions that are revolutionizing the field. Participants will learn about the design processes, the time necessary for documentation creation, and how digital technologies have gradually enhanced the overall efficiency of the process. The talk will be structured into three segments:

1. A Review of Architectural Design Phases: A look at the typical process and its individual stages.
2. The major process improvements achieved through transformative technologies: a quick look back at the technologies that have altered architectural design, with artificial intelligence serving as the present peak of this trend.
3. AI tool demonstration: a review of particular AI tools for architectural and urban design, as well as their actual use in real-world professional workflows.

A focus will be made on the evolving decision-making process in architecture and urbanization. Today, artificial intelligence allows for faster comparison of design variations, automated spatial analysis, simulations, and functional layout optimization, giving architects more flexibility to make informed and creative judgments while also improving how they conceptualize, plan, and shape space.
