80th Anniversary of the Mathematical Institute



АWARDS OF THE MATHEMATICAL INSTITUTE OF SASA

On August 16, 2012, the Executive Board of the Mathematical Institute of SASA established the Award of the Mathematical Institute of SASA to recognize outstanding contributions to the development of the Institute and of mathematics in the Republic of Serbia.

This recognition has so far been awarded to:
14 September 2012 — to young mathematician Teodor von Burg for outstanding results achieved at the International Mathematical Olympiads;
31 October 2014 — to Academician Prof. Dr Bogoljub Stanković for his remarkable contribution to the development of Serbian mathematics;
26 April 2016 — to Academician Prof. Dr Mileva Prvanović and Prof. Dr Veljko Vujičić in recognition of their immeasurable contribution to the development of the Mathematical Institute of SASA and mathematics in the Republic of Serbia;
30 August 2019 — to Srđan Ognjanović, МА, for his outstanding contribution to the development of the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade and mathematics in the Republic of Serbia;
10 September 2021 — to Academician Teodor Atanacković, Academician Vladan Đorđević, Academician Dragoš Cvetković, Prof. Dr Žarko Mijajlović, and Prof. Dr Zoran Marković in recognition of their significant contribution to the development of the Mathematical Institute of SASA and mathematics in Serbia.

Student Awards of the Mathematical Institute of SASA

Each year, the Mathematical Institute of SASA recognizes notable achievements of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students (BSc, MSc, and PhD) in mathematics, mechanics, and computer science, and awards the authors of the best theses in mathematics and computer science.
