Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts has had a long tradition of publishing non-periodic (occasional) editions in various fields of mathematical and mechanical sciences. Until now, 94 such editions have been published all together, divided into the following series: Special Editions (28 issues), Collection of Papers (26), Mathematical Horizons (7), History of Mathematical and Mechanical Sciences (6), Classic Scientific Writings (6), Contemporary Computing Techniques and Applications (8), and Other Publications (that according to their profile do not fit into the series listed above – 13). The first non-periodic publication was issued in 1949 within the series Special Editions. It was a book under the title Theorie and Technique of the Stiltjes’ integral, written by Jovan Karamata, (in Serbian, 328 pp.). Very soon, a need appeared in the Mathematical Institute to improve the choice of themes and the scientific level of these publications. For this purpose, a special Editorial Board was established in 1995. Its first president was late Academician Bogoljub Stanković. In 2015 the duty of the president of the Board was taken over by Academician Vladan Djordjević. During this period, scientific secretary of the Board has been a scientific adviser, Professor Dr Slobodanka Janković.

In its recent activities the Editorial Board for Non-Periodic Publications has paid particular attention to the following series: Special Editions, Collection of Papers and Mathematical Horizons. Here are the publications issued during the last decade.
