The cooperation of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac with MISANU has also been realised through a large number of published joint papers of the members of these institutions.

Employees of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics held several lectures at which they presented the results of their research within the following seminars organised by MISANU:
  • Seminar on Mathematical Logic,
  • Seminar on Computer Science and Applied Mathematics,
  • Seminar on Geometry, Education and Visualisation with Applications,
  • Seminar on Stochastics,
  • Seminar on Combinatorics, Geometry, Algebra and Topology.

In addition, several lectures have been held at the Mathematics Colloquium, a general mathematical seminar, the role of which is to organise talks aimed at a broad audience, including young mathematicians, through regular weekly meetings.

The seminar on Foundations of Mathematics organised by MISANU was held at the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac in 1993.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of MISANU, within Computer Science and Applied Mathematics Colloquium Day, a lecture was given by Professor Boban Stojanović from the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac.

At scientific conferences organised by MISANU marking the 70th birthday of academician Gradimir Milovanović, the 75th birthday of academician Dragoš Cvetković and the 85th birthday of Professor Slaviša Prešić, several members of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics participated by holding their lectures.

The Faculty of Science in Kragujevac was the organiser of the 14th Serbian Mathematical Congress with a large number of participants from the country and abroad, and MISANU was one of the co-organisers. Within the congress, held in May 2018, through plenary lectures, as well as lectures within workshops and sections, numerous prominent mathematicians from around the world, including several members of MISANU, presented the results of their research.

At the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac two doctoral dissertations, whose advisors were (are) members of MISANU, were defended:
  • Zoran Ognjanović, research professor of MISANU was the advisor of Tatjana Stojanović's doctoral dissertation entitled Development and analysis of metaheuristic methods for examining satisfaction in probabilistic logics in 2015.
  • Rade Živaljević, research professor of MISANU was the advisor of Marinko Timotijević's doctoral dissertation entitled Auto-dual simplicial complexes, their generalisation and applications in combinatorics and geometry in 2019.

In addition, on several occasions, employees of MISANU were members of the commissions for evaluation and defense of doctoral dissertations, as well as members of various commissions for the election of teachers and associates of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics.

Within the PhD School in Mathematics, a joint PhD. program of the mathematics departments of four Serbian Universities, Niš, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Novi Pazar, and MISANU, three professors of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac are lecturers and mentors. In addition, two professors are members of the Council of the PhD School in Mathematics.

Professor Marija Stanić, Dean of the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac, has been a member of the Commission for the MISANU Award for the best doctorate in the field of Mathematics and Mechanics for the last 3 years. In addition, she is a member of the Scientific Council of MISANU.

The annual MISANU Award in the field of computing for M.Sc. students for 2020 and 2021 was awarded to students of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac:
  • In 2020, student Vladimir Barać received an award for his work entitled Application of computer vision algorithms in determining trace parameters in dosimetry;
  • In 2021, student Dragutin Ostojić received an award for his work entitled Application of recurrent neural networks in natural language processing.
