Waves can be defined as disturbances of certain quantities that extend through time and space. In general, they are classified as either dispersive or hyperbolic. This course will establish the mathematical foundations of several types of hyperbolic waves, with an emphasis on illustrating them through examples of physical phenomena. The first lecture will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., in Room 301f of the Institute of Mathematics, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, 3rd floor, Knez Mihailova 36.
