The seminar Stochastics with applications covers a wide range of topics including probability, stochastic processes, stochastic calculus, stochastic differential equations, statistics etc. with applications in different areas: artificial intelligence, mechanics, stochastic dynamical systems, complex systems, mathematical physics, economy etc.
From 1996. until 2008. this seminar was named Sochastics. The co-chairs were Svetlana Janković and Slobodanka Janković. After the fifteen years break the seminar begins again under its present name.
One of the goals of the seminar is to bring together researchers working on various topics related to stochastics processes and applications. Members of the seminar will present their new results in these fields. Also, the seminar will connect young researchers working at different institutions.
Seminar meetings are held twice a month.
The seminar chair is Ljiljana Petrović and the seminar secretary is Petar Ćirković.
